• On the day of the first visit one of our therapists will greet you in the child friendly waiting area.
  • We suggest you complete the new patient registration form below as well as the initial speech form if you are interested in speech services. This will provide the background information we need and will help you and our therapists to formulate thoughts regarding your concerns about your child’s strengths and weaknesses. If you do not complete the forms prior to your visit please arrive 15 minutes early to complete the information packet.
  • Our initial assessment will often look like play. Many times the child doesn’t even realize they are being evaluated. We will try to match you with the best fit for both therapist and your child based on the therapist’s expertise, personality and availability.
  • The first session(s) are designed to provide an initial evaluation of your child. For OT and PT the evaluation is for all motor (gross and fine motor), sensory, daily living skills, play skills, and to determine factors that may interfere with age appropriate skill acquisition. For Speech Therapy the evaluation is to evaluate your child’s speech and language development.
  • Our goal is to help you and your child feel as comfortable and playful as possible. While we understand that the process is stressful for all, we do our best to minimize stress and open communication. Please be assured that no procedure is painful and many children ask when they can come back to play.
  • If a child is a candidate for therapy, the therapist will work with you to set a treatment schedule and plan.
  • Generally sessions are between 30 minutes to 1 hour long and combine structured and unstructured activities.
